Magic Audiometer
Interactive Tonal Audiometry is a method of hearing testing for young children from 3 years of age.
The main purpose of the test is to assess the hearing threshold, which allows you to determine the type and degree of hearing loss.
The result is presented in the form of curves - an audiogram that shows the hearing threshold.
Research description:
The child sits comfortably in a special muted room.
The researcher puts on the headphones headphones.
The child looks at the screen on which he sees the animals.
After pressing the selected animal, a measuring tone with a strictly defined intensity and frequency is given to the ear under examination.
The child's task is to answer or have you heard the sound that the animal made?
If the animal makes a sound press the smiling animal, if there was no sound press the sad animal on the screen.
Each of the 8 animals that appear on the screen has a different frequency of sounds, which allows us to plot audiogram curves.
After performing the test for one ear, it is repeated for the opposite ear.
It's easy to check if your child understands what fun is, because the device emits sounds or no sounds. If the child is wrong saying that there was a sound and the device did not emit it, the device will not let us go to the next animal. If, after a few attempts, the Child continues to be wrong, we stop the examination.
